It is one of the most emblematic colors in the long 41-year history of the popular Seat utility vehicle, originally launched in 1984, and it is back in the lineup after an eight-year absence. Recently presented to the media during an event that included the participation of AutoGear, the renewed Ibiza brings back a color that will surely please many fans of the model: yellow, which has not been part of the catalog for eight years.
This update, with a commercial launch scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, is the first of the fifth generation of the Ibiza, launched in 2017. And this is where the… yellow comes in: after the Crono and Citrus (the latter, to be precise, was actually closer to green…), available in the fourth generation Ibiza from 2008 to 2017, the color returns now under the name Oniric (also available in the Arona, the small SUV based on the same technical platform as the Ibiza, and updated and presented simultaneously with its “cousin” aimed at segment B).

The yellow was also proposed in the third generation of the model, produced from 2002 to 2008, then named Ovni. However, it became a brand image with the Ibiza II (1993-2001), surely because it was associated with the Cupra version and the competition Kit Car. During this series, Fluorescent Yellow was offered from 1995 to 2001, and Bengal Yellow from 1997 to 1999.
