In recent days, all the buzz around F1 has revolved around Bearman and his exceptional performance as a substitute at the Saudi Arabian GP. After his impressive showing, speculations arose about his chances of securing a spot in F1 for the next year. Reflecting on the British driver’s performance, the former team boss confidently stated that he would have put the rookie in a full-time seat for the 2025 season.

Bearman was tasked with replacing Steiner in a hurry. Furthermore, Steiner himself had secured pole position for the F2 feature race and was already excited about his prospects in the junior category. Despite these circumstances, the young driver quickly adapted to the SF-24 and showed promising results in the race.

Guenther Steiner was very impressed with Oliver Bearman’s achievements.

The Italian expressed that, due to Bearman’s remarkable performance, he is undoubtedly a candidate for a seat in F1. If Steiner were still leading the team, he would have considered the Englishman as a potential driver for [season]. However, as things stand currently, Bearman will continue his campaign in F2 and aspire to reach F1 in the following season.

The 58-year-old Italian guided the American team since its foundation in 2016. Consequently, under his leadership, the team experienced growth and became part of the midfield pack. However, the situation deteriorated rapidly, leading to his dismissal by the team last year due to lack of substantial results.

Steiner, when talking about his life away from the pressures of F1, stated,

The Italian-American revealed details about his life since he parted ways with the American team. Steiner disclosed that he distanced himself from everything related to F1 in recent months and focused on his family. However, he still carries regret for staying at Haas for too long.

Despite these circumstances, Steiner has moved on from his previous position and is now involved in several other ventures. As a result, the F1 community will still have the pleasure of witnessing the former team principal, although not in the same capacity.
