Mazda CX-80: o novo SUV topo de gama de sete lugares

The new Mazda CX-80 has achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest round of tests by Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.

The new seven-seater SUV from Mazda achieved its best result in the adult occupant protection category with 92%, while it scored 88% in child protection and 84% in the protection of more vulnerable road users. In terms of assistance and safety systems, it obtained a score of 79%.

Euro NCAP clarified that the highest score recorded by the CX-80 in adult protection is a result of the maximum ratings obtained in the Side Impact and Rear Impact tests, as well as a satisfactory level of protection in the Frontal Impact test with a full-width rigid barrier.

In both the Side Barrier Impact and the more severe Side Impact with a Pole, the protection recorded in all critical areas of the bodywork was considered good, leading to a maximum score in this section of the assessment.

Remember that Mazda offers a wide range of features that significantly enhance daily driving and safety, along with an extensive list of safety systems, particularly highlighting Lane Keeping Assistance through Emergency Lane Keeping, Lane Keep Assist, and Human Machine Interface, among others.

The seven-seater SUV from Mazda is available with two powertrain options: the e-Skyactiv PHEV, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor powered by a 17.8 kWh battery, allowing for a combined output of 327 hp and 500 Nm of torque, boasting an all-electric range of 60 km. These figures enable acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 195 km/h.

Additionally, there is a variant equipped with the e-Skyactiv D engine, a 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine that integrates Mazda’s mild-hybrid M Hybrid Boost 48V system, producing 254 hp, providing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 219 km/h.

Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the i-Activ all-wheel drive system. The Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) also allows a choice between four driving modes (an additional EV mode in the PHEV version), a system already introduced in the Mazda CX-60.
