Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it will present the long-awaited electric G-Class at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show at the end of April.
Known as the EQG, the fully electric 4×4 G-Class will be unveiled on April 24, and will be sold in the Chinese market as the G580 with EQ technology later this year.
The German brand did not provide details about the new 100% electric G, which will be the ninth electric model from Mercedes-Benz, however, everything indicates that the model will have a powertrain consisting of four electric motors, one for each wheel, to enhance off-road use of this model.
It is worth noting that Mercedes recently renewed the second generation of the G-Class, with updates to the electrified powertrain while maintaining the classic aesthetics.
