In October, Xiaomi sold 48,654 electric vehicles, the brand’s best monthly record owned by the Chinese consumer electronics giant. A number that holds special significance, as it is the second consecutive month in which the manufacturer surpasses the 40,000 unit barrier. Year-to-date, a total of 315,376 units have been sold, a figure that is already close to the goal of 350,000 for 2025.
The YU7, an SUV competitor to the Tesla Model Y, accounted for a significant portion of the sales (almost 70%), with 33,662 units, which corresponds to a demand increase of over 50% compared to September. It should be noted that this model was launched in the domestic market only at the end of June, and it already has 80,855 registered units.

Xiaomi sold 14,992 units of the SU7 sedan, its first car, which is 27.7% less than in October of last year, and 23.4% less than in September. The Chinese brand has already sold 234,521 units of the model this year.
Considering the results, Xiaomi, not surprisingly, is prioritizing the production of SUVs, but customers who ordered the YU7 are still facing long wait times (32 to 38 weeks). In the case of the sedan, the delivery time is 26 weeks.
