SU7: primeiro elétrico da Xiaomi chega em 2024 com autonomia até 800 km

Xiaomi launched its first car model, the SU7 sedan, last week, which was presented in December 2023, and is based on Xiaomi’s Modena platform, designed to support 400-volt and 800-volt electrical architectures, as well as transmission systems with one or two motors.

The Chinese brand announced that after the official launch of the model, they received the first 50,000 reservation orders in 27 minutes.

The launch event, held in Beijing, was attended by the company’s founder, Lei Jun, who announced the public sale price of the SU7: 215,900 yuan (€27,667) for the entry model and 299,900 yuan (€38,432) for the Max version.

The presentation was watched by over two million viewers across various platforms, including the Chinese WeChat, Youtube, and X (formerly Twitter), and was attended by about a thousand people, including the CEOs of major Chinese brands such as Nio, Xpeng, Li Auto, and BYD.

It is worth noting that the SU7 is equipped with electric motors developed internally by Xiaomi, which the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, describes as a “super electric motor,” capable of providing faster acceleration speeds than Tesla and Porsche cars.

The SU7 will present two versions, the entry-level one with an electric motor installed on the rear axle, with a power of 300 hp and a torque of 400 Nm, which is powered by a 73.6 kWh battery, and allows to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.28 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 210 km/h, with a range of 628 km to 668 km in CLTC cycle.

The most powerful version is the SU7 Max, which uses two electric motors, one per axle, with all-wheel drive, with a total power of 645 hp and a torque of 838 Nm, using a 101 kWh battery supplied by CATL, allowing for a range of up to 800 km, as well as accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 265 km/h.
