VW apresenta o ID.7 Tourer que chega com 685 km de autonomia

Volkswagen has unveiled the new ID.7 Tourer, thus expanding the range of 100% electric models in Europe. Described as the “versatile electric of the new era,” the Tourer will hit the market in the second half of 2024 to compete with the new BMW i5 Touring and the soon-to-be-released Audi A6 E-tron Avant.

With dimensions similar to the sedan, 4.96 m in length, 1.86 m in width, 1.53 m in height, the wagon benefits from a longer roofline than the sedan, which allows for a trunk capacity of up to 605 liters, or 73 liters more than the sedan, which can reach 1714 liters with the rear seats folded down, compared to the sedan’s 1514 liters.

Aesthetically, the new VW electric wagon presents itself with the optimized aerodynamics of the ID 7, with its long and elegant silhouette that provides a drag coefficient of 0.24, only 0.1Cd more than the sedan.

The typically ID family-oriented lines, focused on ensuring high aerodynamic efficiency, are marked in the front section by a lighting signature similar to that of the sedan, with the crossbar that connects the two taillights and the emblem, illuminated and available only as an option, along with the Matrix LED headlights. On the other hand, the rear section stands out in the same way as the sedan with the new design of the taillights, connected by an LED strip.

In the interior, the highlight is the infotainment system, which despite being the same as the sedan, uses a 15.3” screen that has been updated to improve processing time and graphics. In addition, the update includes the new IDA onboard assistant, which uses ChatGPT to allow users to receive voice content during the trip. The new artificial intelligence technology allows you to control the infotainment system and answer general knowledge questions asked by users.

In addition, the ID.7 Tourer includes an electronically controlled panoramic roof that can be opaque or transparent with just a touch of a button. The seats are equipped with a massage program, and there is also a new wellness application that adjusts the lighting, sound system, and temperature control for a calmer environment when needed, with three distinct programs: Refresh, Relax, and Revitalizing Break.

The ID.7 Tourer will hit the market with two versions, the Pro and the Pro S, both with rear-wheel drive and 286 hp of power and 545 Nm of torque. The difference is also in the battery: 82 kWh of capacity (77 kWh useful) for the Pro variant, while the Pro S is equipped with a 91 kWh battery (86 kWh useful), which has thirteen modules (instead of the usual twelve), and can receive fast charging up to 200 kW allowing a recharge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes.

Although VW has not revealed the range of the two models, nor the consumption, as they are in the homologation phase, the brand has announced that the ID.7 Tourer Pro is expected to have a range of up to 610 km, while the Pro S should guarantee a range of 685 km.
