The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution was designed to break records, and the hypercar from the American brand continues to make history.
This time, the Venom F5 became the fastest production car to lap the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, completing a lap of the Austin track in 2.10.90 minutes, beating the previous record held by the Czinger 21C by 0.43 seconds.
To achieve this new record, test driver David Donahue took control of the model equipped with a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 1842 hp and a maximum torque of 1617 Nm.
During the record lap, the Venom F5 reached a top speed of up to 311 km/h on the longest straight, and David Donahue endured lateral forces of up to 1.59 G, which increased to 1.61 G under braking, all with the hypercar equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
“Having been part of the development of the Venom F5 Revolution, I knew I was capable of setting a fast time, but when it came to pushing the pace, I ended up being impressed with the power. There is no other model in the world that provides such a visceral and engaging driving experience.”, emphasized David Donohue.
