Mokka GSE é o modelo elétrico mais rápido da Opel e chega com 280 cv

Opel took advantage of its presence at the Munich Motor Show for the world premiere, this Monday, of the Mokka GSE, using the occasion to announce the opening of orders for the new sports model.

The new Opel Mokka GSE is the first fully electric model with the GSE designation, and the brand claims it to be the fastest electric model from the Rüsselsheim house.

With a maximum power of 281 hp and a maximum torque of 345 Nm, the production model is as powerful as its motorsport counterpart, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 200 km/h.

In addition, drivers of the Mokka GSE can choose between three different driving modes: “Sport,” “Normal,” and “Eco.” The Mokka GSE stores its energy in a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Its sophisticated technology is also inspired by the rally prototype. Equipped with front-wheel drive, the Mokka GSE features a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential, as well as a chassis with specially designed axles and new dual hydraulic shock absorbers.

All high-voltage components of the series-produced Mokka GSE, such as the motor, the inverter, the battery, and the electrical wiring, come from the Mokka GSE Rally. The steering system, chassis, and brakes have also been designed to be particularly sporty and optimized.

Visually, the Mokka GSE features rally-inspired details, fluorescent yellow accents, and glossy black panels on the bumpers. The Mokka GSE is equipped with new aerodynamically optimized 20’’ alloy wheels, combined with Michelin Pilot Sport EV 225/40 R20 tires.

Inside, the driver and passenger have special Alcantara GSE Performance seats with integrated headrests, which optimally position the driver in the vehicle. The steering system, developed from scratch for the Mokka GSE, and the flat-bottomed steering wheel promise a direct response, while the aluminum sports pedals receive the acceleration and braking commands.

Also noteworthy is the 10’’ digital instrument panel display that can be customized in various ways, and the color central display with navigation system. The display contains additional information such as GSE performance data, G-force indication, acceleration values, battery management data, and much more.

Opel has already announced that the new Mokka GSE is available for order at a starting price of €47,300.
