Tesla seems to be ready to start robotaxi services in the city of Austin, Texas, USA, and in this regard, it has already announced that it will offer rides in its autonomous vehicles starting June 22.
The announcement was made by Elon Musk via social media, stating that the commercialization of autonomous vehicles has been challenging due to safety concerns, strict regulations, and increasing investments.
Tentatively, June 22.

We are being super paranoid about safety, so the date could shift.
First Tesla that drives itself from factory end of line all the way to a customer house is June 28.
“We are very paranoid about safety, and that’s why the date may change”, Musk said in a post on “X” in response to a question about the public robotaxi rides that the electric vehicle manufacturer plans to offer.
Musk also announced that starting June 28, Tesla’s autonomous vehicles will drive themselves to the customer’s home after leaving the production line.
It is worth noting that Elon Musk promised a paid robotaxi service in Austin, which will utilize about 10 to 20 Model Y vehicles, operating in a limited area and under remote human supervision.
The company plans to expand its operations to other states in the USA at the end of the year, including California, which has strict regulations for autonomous vehicles.
