Tesla revealed this Friday that it will have to correct a problem in 694,304 vehicles in the United States due to an error with the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
According to Tesla, the TPMS warning light may not stay on between driving cycles, failing to alert the driver to low tire pressure.
The issue affects Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck vehicles and could result in driving with incorrect tire pressure, thereby increasing the risk of an accident. Tesla has stated that the problem will be resolved quickly with a software update.
It is worth noting that Tesla models accounted for 21% of all recalls in the U.S. in the first three quarters of the year, according to recall management company BizzyCar.
However, most issues with the American brand’s models are resolved through over-the-air software updates.
