F1 Sensation: Sebastian Vettel’s Empowering Return to Jeddah Racing Project Unveiled

Former F1 legend, Sebastian Vettel, is set to make a groundbreaking return to Jeddah alongside the F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this weekend with his groundbreaking Race For Women initiative. Vettel’s mission to empower women in motorsport is gaining momentum as he gears up to race alongside 20 female drivers from Saudi Arabia at The Track Jeddah.

In a bold move to drive change, Vettel organized a female-only karting event in 2021, just before Saudi Arabia’s inaugural F1 race, allowing women of varying driving experience to showcase their skills alongside the four-time world champion. The success of the event has led to the return of the initiative to Jeddah, aiming to inspire more women in Saudi Arabia to pursue racing and break barriers in the male-dominated sport.

Vettel expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, stating, “Change doesn’t happen overnight — but I’d love to see more strong female drivers at the top of the sport!” The impact of Vettel’s efforts was evident as he highlighted the increased confidence and empowerment felt by the female participants following the previous event.

Furthermore, the F1 Academy’s all-female racing series will also make its mark in Saudi Arabia this weekend, featuring Riyadh-born Farah AlYousef, the champion of the 2022 Saudi Women’s Karting championship. The stage is set for a thrilling showcase of talent and determination as women continue to shatter stereotypes in the world of motorsport.

Stay tuned for more updates as Sebastian Vettel and a cohort of fierce female drivers take on the tracks in Jeddah, marking a pivotal moment in the journey towards gender equality in F1.
