Arábia Saudita revela informações sobre novo circuito de Fórmula 1 em Qiddiya.

Saudi Arabia unveils plans for the new Qiddiya circuit, which will host the country’s annual Formula 1 race. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has been part of the F1 calendar since 2021, and the intention is to move it to the Qiddiya circuit, specially built for this purpose, by 2027. The Qiddiya Speed Park track will combine elements of permanent circuits and street tracks, offering a challenging mix of high and low-speed sections. The circuit will also feature significant elevation changes, including a turn called ‘Blade’ that will reach the height of a 20-story building. The length of the track has not been disclosed yet. Renowned circuit designer Hermann Tilke, responsible for the Jeddah track project, collaborated with former F1 driver and GPDA president Alex Wurz on the plans. The construction of the Qiddiya circuit is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to create a vibrant society and a prosperous economy. The circuit will offer multiple viewpoints and observation terraces, replacing traditional grandstands, and will be located next to the Six Flags roller coaster. Abdullah Aldawood, CEO of Qiddiya Investment Company, stated that the Speed Park track will establish the city of Qiddiya as a major motorsport venue and provide visitors with unique racing experiences.
