Red Bull Racing Team Principal Chris Horner Drops Bombshell: “We Will Have to Do Without Verstappen One Day”

In a shocking revelation, the Red Bull Racing Team Principal, Chris Horner, admitted that the day will come when they will have to part ways with their star driver, Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver, who has been with the team for ten seasons, is a crucial asset for Red Bull, as highlighted by their lead in the championship with 155 points for Verstappen compared to 162 points for the entire team.

Horner expressed his faith in Verstappen’s loyalty but acknowledged the inevitable future without him, saying, “It’s clear how significant Max’s contribution is. And I know that one day we will have to do without him. Hopefully, we will still need him for a couple more years.” Horner emphasized Verstappen’s incredible performances and the positive impact he has on the team.

Speaking about the importance of relationships within the team, Horner emphasized that contracts are secondary to strong personal connections. He stated, “For me, relationships are more important than contracts. If you have to rely on a contract, it means that a relationship is not working.” Horner highlighted the importance of a good rapport for a successful collaboration and praised Verstappen for his openness and clarity in his communication with the team.

As the Formula 1 season unfolds, the future of Red Bull Racing without Verstappen looms on the horizon, leaving fans and pundits speculating about the team’s prospects. With the dynamic between Verstappen and Red Bull under scrutiny, only time will tell when the inevitable separation will occur and how it will impact the powerhouse team’s performance on the track.
