Pininfarina mostra o Enigma GT que antecipa um futuro desportivo a hidrogénio

Pininfarina continues to surprise its fans with sporty and bold design models. This time, the Italian brand took advantage of the Geneva Motor Show to unveil the impressive Enigma GT, a four-seater model that combines a hydrogen engine with an electric motor and promises to go into production in the coming years.

For now, the Enigma GT is just a prototype that offers a first glimpse of the model that will be developed to mark the company’s 95th anniversary in 2025.

With a length of 4.58 meters and a wheelbase of 2.88 meters, in order to maximize interior space, the Enigma GT features a turbocharged V6 combustion engine powered by hydrogen, with 436 hp of power that is transmitted to the rear wheels, along with an electric motor on the front axle with 268 hp, which is powered by a 10 kWh battery. Pininfarina announced that the battery, combined with the tank with a capacity of 9 kg of hydrogen, allows the Enigma GT to have a range of over 700 km.

The chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque covered with carbon panels, which allows this prototype to have a total weight of 1,690 kg.

Aesthetically, the Enigma GT presents a highly aerodynamic design that allows the Italian manufacturer to announce a drag coefficient of 0.24 Cd, with sculpted front wings, active deflectors on the front wheels, and a rear wing extending from the body that resembles a tail. It is also worth noting the impressive roof inspired by Pininfarina’s history and models such as the Ferrari 512S Berlinetta Speciale and the Abarth 2000 Coupé Pininfarina.

The interior presents new design trends, allowing the company to offer “a flying-like GT experience”, with an aviation-inspired instrument panel, as well as the use of a range of sustainable materials.

The user interface makes use of an augmented reality windshield, which combines with a multifunctional steering wheel that has an unusual shape and is equipped with several customizable buttons. Additionally, it features advanced driver assistance systems to allow for a true GT model experience.
