Oscar Piastri, McLaren driver, believes that the Imola circuit needs improvements to enhance the quality of Formula 1 races. Piastri described the recent race as “boring” and expressed his disappointment at not being able to overtake other competitors. Despite qualifying on the front row, Piastri was penalized and dropped to fifth place. He managed to overtake one of the Ferraris, but struggled to pass the second one. Piastri suggested that changes to the track, such as increasing the length of the DRS zone, could improve overtaking opportunities. His teammate, Lando Norris, also shared similar sentiments, stating that circuits like Imola make it difficult for drivers to overtake. Sergio Perez, another driver, went even further by stating that the track is not suitable for Formula 1 races.
