The Peugeot has announced the opening of orders for the new plug-in hybrid 3008, which will arrive on the market in November.
The new model combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo combustion engine with 150 hp with a 125 hp electric motor, resulting in a combined power of 195 hp.
This new engine of the Peugeot 3008 also introduces the new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (e-DCS7).
The electric motor is powered by a battery with a useful capacity of 17.8 kWh, which allows for a 100% electric range of 87 km and can be recharged in just 2 hours and 55 minutes with a 7.4 kW charger, or in 9 hours and 5 minutes through a regular household socket.
Available, like the rest of the range, in two levels of equipment: Allure and GT, the new 3008 is the first model to benefit from Stellantis’ new STLA Medium platform, immediately distinguished by its fastback SUV style. A silhouette that is both dynamic and aerodynamic (Cx 0.28) allows the new 3008 to combine elegance, efficiency, and space.
The dynamism of the feline lines of the new 3008 stands out in a front section designed around the new Peugeot emblem, where the signature lighting of three claws is maintained, but with a new image characterized by a sharper design and now positioned higher, complemented by a thin strip that integrates the ultra-compact LED headlights (standard in all versions), placed above the unmarked grille, and benefiting from a gradient of the body color.
In profile and at the rear, the new Peugeot 3008 accentuates the fastback design of the body, with a silhouette dominated by the roof shape and a sharply sloping rear section, featuring a “floating” spoiler and taillights with the signature lighting of three claws.
As for prices, the new plug-in hybrid version of the 3008 is available for a starting price of €45,150. For the Allure trim level, it starts at €50,150 for the top-of-the-line GT version. However, during the launch period, until the end of July, there is a campaign that reduces these prices to €44,150 and €49,150, respectively.
