Ocon’s departure from the Renault-owned Alpine team has already been announced, and there has been speculation in the media about his potential move to the U.S.-owned Haas team, as well as Williams and Sauber.
Sainz is considered a significant factor in the driver market, as he is searching for a new seat after Ferrari decided to replace him with Mercedes’ seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, starting in 2025.
Sauber, who will be rebranded as Audi in 2026, Alpine, and Williams have all shown interest in signing the Spaniard.
When asked about his future at the British Grand Prix, Ocon stated that Carlos’ decisions have no impact on him. He emphasized that they are focused on managing their own affairs and that things are progressing well. He expects to be able to provide more information in a few races.
When questioned if this would happen before the summer break, Ocon responded optimistically, saying “hopefully.”
Currently, Ocon is in 17th place in the 2024 F1 Drivers’ Championship, with three points. His teammate, Pierre Gasly, who recently extended his contract with Alpine, is in 15th place with six points.
