Mercedes seeks to improve W15 performance after a difficult start to the season. Despite efforts, the team has not yet achieved a podium and currently occupies fourth place in the constructors’ championship, with a total of 79 points.
During the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Mercedes introduced some updates, but failed to achieve the desired results, facing difficulties in qualifying and finishing the race in sixth and seventh place. The team was surpassed by their rivals Ferrari and McLaren, who demonstrated superior speed.
Faced with setbacks, the German team is now focused on improving their lap times, as well as the balance and aerodynamic pressure of their car. Although Mercedes has shown improvements compared to the beginning of the season, they are still behind their competitors. With Formula 1 heading to Monaco, the Silver Arrows are eager to deliver a stronger performance with the W15.
Toto Wolff, Mercedes’ Team Principal, recently hinted at speculation surrounding the replacement of Lewis Hamilton for the next season. Hamilton, who announced his departure from the team earlier this year, is expected to join Ferrari. In this context, there are rumors that a promising F2 sensation, who has been testing for Mercedes and showing impressive results, could be a potential candidate, as suggested by Toto Wolff.
