Victor Martins, a driver from ART Grand Prix from France, emerged victorious in the Formula 2 Sprint Race in Barcelona. He displayed a strong performance, maintaining the lead throughout the race. Kush Maini, from Invicta Racing, who initially held the pole position, lost ground as Martins quickly overtook him at Turn 1 to secure his position in front.
Martins showcased exceptional driving skills, securing his first win of the season. Meanwhile, Juan Manuel Correa achieved his first podium in five years after recovering from an earlier accident. Maini, on the other hand, had a slow start, losing four positions before Turn 1. Despite this setback, he managed to regain his momentum and climbed back up to third place on the second lap.
Unfortunately, Correa lost his third-place position to the Invicta Racing duo, as Maini successfully overtook Gabriel Bortoleto and the DAMS driver on the second lap. Paul Aron also put pressure on Correa, attempting a move at Turn 5 on the third lap, just before the activation of the DRS system.

On the 19th lap, Hauger was less than a meter behind Antonelli, but couldn’t overtake him as the Prema Racing driver defended fiercely.
In an exciting head-to-head battle, Bortoleto and Correa collided on the 20th lap, with the Invicta Racing driver making a mistake approaching Turn 5.
In the midst of the conflict, Aron closed in on Correa in the DRS zone, hoping to secure third place on the podium.
Hauger managed to overtake Antonelli on the 21st lap, maneuvering his way into ninth position. However, he was warned about possible penalties for exceeding track limits.
Miyata received a second five-second penalty for exceeding track limits, resulting in a drop in the standings.
On the 23rd lap, Martins built a 3.3-second advantage over Miyata, who was involved in a battle for third place with the Invicta Racing duo and the current championship leader.
Aron, who currently holds the first position in the championship, reduced the gap to just 0.2 seconds behind Correa, launching an attack on the DAMS driver as they entered Turn 1 of the 25th lap.
A major wheel lock-up by Maini in second place approaching Turn 5 put him under immense pressure from his teammate, Bortoleto.
