Lewis Hamilton elogia Max Verstappen e Lando Norris por forte desempenho na classificação do GP da Espanha.

Lewis Hamilton will start the Spanish Grand Prix from the second row. The Mercedes F1 driver showed fair play after qualifying in Barcelona by congratulating Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, who secured the first two positions for Sunday’s race. Hamilton finished in third place, marking a successful afternoon for the British driver.

Mercedes had a slow start to the 2024 season and was the fourth fastest team on the grid until the Canadian Grand Prix. However, the team has shown improvement in terms of pace and balance in the last two race weekends, indicating a possible comeback for the once-dominant team.

In the recent qualifying session, Hamilton secured pole position in Montreal and qualified in fourth place, giving the German team a strong starting position for the next race. This marks a positive change for Hamilton, who has only outperformed Russell for the second time this season in a competitive Q3 session.

Now, Mercedes will seek to convert their strong performance into wins and podiums, something they have struggled with in the past. They will face tough competition from Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, who will start in first and second place, respectively.

Toto Wolff, the head of the Mercedes team, revealed that all teams on the grid have actively maximized the potential of their cars to bring better updates for the season. Mercedes has made significant improvements since the Monaco Grand Prix and is now one of the most improved teams on the grid.

Wolff further explained that teams have gained a better understanding of the regulations and are effectively utilizing them in recent races. Strong developments in the form of floor and front wing updates have given Mercedes an advantage in the last two races.

The next Grand Prix of Spain promises an exciting competition among the main teams on the grid. McLaren, Red Bull, and Mercedes all have a chance to triumph in the 66-lap race.
