Lewis Hamilton expressa alegria por se qualificar em terceiro lugar para o Grande Prêmio da Espanha apesar de uma temporada desafiadora para a Mercedes.

Mercedes sees significant improvement in its performance after the Monaco Grand Prix. The team started the 2024 season strong, with impressive results during qualifying. They even surpassed their competitors, showing the satisfaction of their seven-time world champion with these positive results.

At the beginning of the season, Mercedes faced challenges that caused them to lose crucial points in the constructors’ championship. Additionally, George Russell consistently outperformed Lewis Hamilton, increasing his frustration. These circumstances led fans to accuse Mercedes of intentionally sabotaging Hamilton’s chassis before qualifying.

However, Hamilton’s third-place result in qualifying put these conspiracy theories to rest. He expressed his happiness with the positive outcome after a difficult start to the year. Hamilton also acknowledged the hard work done by the team at the factory to improve the chassis.

Mercedes faced difficulties during the ground effect era, leading fans to doubt the team’s capabilities. The W15 chassis performed below expectations and failed to compete with its rivals. However, the team made upgrades during the season since the Monaco GP, resulting in better performance for the chassis.

Hamilton believes that the car is showing promise in terms of performance. The chassis is being developed to become a competitive racing machine that can challenge the leaders. As a result, Mercedes is anticipating a fierce battle for the first position in the Spanish GP after their strong performance in qualifying.

The 2024 season has witnessed intense races between the leading teams. The difficulties of Red Bull have allowed their competitors to get closer in the championship race. With Mercedes’ best performance, they have the chance to secure a better position in the championship as the season progresses.
