Leapmotor apresenta o B01 destinado ao mercado chinês

Leapmotor announced that it will launch the new B01, an electric sedan, in the Chinese market, aiming to attract a younger audience, with a range between 550 km and 650 km.

Built on the LEAP 3.5 modular architecture, the Leapmotor B01 measures 4.77 meters in length, 1.88 meters in width, 1.49 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.73 meters.

The architecture supports an 800 V high-voltage system, CTC 2.0 technology, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8650 chip, and an integrated thermal management system 27 in 1.

With rear-wheel drive, the Leapmotor B01 offers an electric motor that generates 1177 hp or 160 kW (215 hp), with an entry-level version expected to produce 134 hp. The electric motor is powered by a lithium iron phosphate battery of 56.2 kWh or 67.1 kWh, providing a Chinese CLTC range of 550 km and 650 km, respectively.

Aesthetically, this Leapmotor 01 features a light signature in the front section connected by a light strip, complemented by black window frames and exterior mirrors, while at the rear, similar to the front, the taillights are joined by a light bar.

Leapmotor announced that the new model will be offered in eight body colors: purple, silver, two shades of gray, white, pink, black, and blue.

The new model from the Chinese brand also features a LiDAR system mounted on the roof to support the advanced driver assistance system, as well as 11 cameras, five-millimeter wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 smart driving chip and can perform highway and urban navigation in autopilot mode.

Inside, the cabin includes an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, a two-spoke steering wheel with a flat base, and a 14.6-inch floating central control screen with 2.5K resolution, installed on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The operating system is Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus, and it features a voice assistant with artificial intelligence that is also present in the cockpit.
