Lando Norris descreve garantir a pole position no Grande Prêmio da Espanha como a conquista mais impressionante de sua carreira, superando por pouco Max Verstappen.

Lando Norris was ecstatic to secure the first position on the grid at the Spanish Grand Prix after a fierce qualifying session against Max Verstappen.

The weekend is in full swing. The Barcelona circuit is known for its challenging nature and is a traditional event on the Formula 1 calendar. The battle for pole position during qualifying was intense. Lando Norris of McLaren emerged victorious, managing to surpass his rivals and finish first at the end of the session.

After the session, Norris reflected on his performance. The British driver expressed that he executed a flawless lap during his final attempt in Q3, which ultimately allowed him to claim pole position. Norris expressed his excitement, stating that he knew it was the perfect lap of the session while he was in his cockpit.

In addition, Lando Norris described this as the best pole position of his career. Although he has already achieved pole position in 2021, Norris has also achieved this feat in junior categories before reaching Formula 1.

Norris: I would consider this my best pole position. The support I received from the fans here was incredible, and I am extremely grateful to everyone who cheered for me.

Max Verstappen will start alongside Norris on the front row. Meanwhile, he secured the third position on the grid. With such a competitive starting lineup, fans can expect an exciting battle at the start of the race. However, Lando Norris remains determined to turn his pole position into a race victory.

The McLaren driver emphasized that his team, based in Woking, has shown impressive pace in recent months. Norris expressed his satisfaction with starting on pole position on Sunday. He admitted that it will be a tough challenge to beat both Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. However, Lando Norris declared that McLaren is here to win.

Undoubtedly, Norris aims to achieve his second victory of the season in Barcelona. However, the competition at the front is incredibly fierce and even the smallest mistake can make all the difference. It remains to be seen if Lando Norris will be able to surpass Verstappen and Hamilton in the Grand Prix.
