Joey Logano’s $200K Payday for His Crew: A Championship Celebration Like No Other

In a season marked by highs, lows, and incredible teamwork, NASCAR Cup Series star Joey Logano turned heads not just for clinching his third career championship but for how he rewarded the crew that made it all possible. Following his triumphant 2024 season finale at Phoenix Raceway, where the No. 22 Team Penske Ford Mustang driver claimed his second Next-Gen title, Logano didn’t just thank his team with words—he delivered cold, hard cash in the most spectacular way.

“Show Me the Money” Moment

Logano had promised his crew a $200,000 bonus split among them if they brought home the championship, setting the stage for a grand reward. True to his word, he gathered his team in a conference room after the victory, carrying a duffle bag stuffed with $200K in cash. In a scene that felt straight out of a Hollywood movie, Logano dumped the money on the table and started throwing it around.

“I always wanted to do this,” Logano said on Kenny Wallace’s Kenny Conversations. “So we won, and I’m like, ‘Oh boy, I don’t know where to get this kind of money.’ I brought up into the room and got everybody in the conference room. And I got a duffle bag full of 200K and I just dumped it out. And said, ‘I always wanted to do this.’ And just started throwing money around.”

Celebrating in Style

The bold gesture left even NASCAR veteran Kenny Wallace stunned, who sat with both hands over his mouth as Logano recounted the unforgettable moment. The 33-year-old racing champion described the act as “badass” and emphasized the importance of celebrating the hard-earned victory with his team.

“It was badass. It was so great. Those are the moments that, like, that’s so cool to celebrate with everybody. Everyone had that together. It’s awesome,” Logano said.

A Gesture of Gratitude

Logano’s flamboyant reward underscored the critical role his crew played throughout a challenging season. Despite a tough start to 2024, the No. 22 team delivered when it mattered most, giving Logano the cars he needed to dominate the playoffs and secure the Bill France Cup. The cash bonus was more than just a financial reward—it was a testament to their shared hard work, dedication, and unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

What’s Next?

With three championships now under his belt, Joey Logano has set the bar high—not just for performance on the track but for how drivers show appreciation for their teams. As the No. 22 crew pockets their well-earned reward, the racing world will no doubt be watching to see if Logano can replicate his success and keep his promises just as extravagantly in the future.

For now, Joey Logano’s championship celebration stands as one of the most memorable in NASCAR history—a moment of pure gratitude, camaraderie, and a whole lot of cash.
