The trio of Oliver Jarvis, Bijoy Garg, and Nolan Siegel, piloting the #22 United Autosports Oreca 07 – Gibson, emerged as the winners of the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 category. They faced strong competition from several other teams vying for the top spot in LMP2. With Jarvis leading the charge, car #22 overtook the #183 entry from AF Corse, driven by Ben Barnicoat, who had led for a significant part of the race. Despite challenging weather conditions, Jarvis maintained a steady pace to secure the victory for team #22, which included two rookie drivers, Garg and Siegel. Rain played a significant role throughout the 24-hour endurance race, adding an extra layer of difficulty. Surprisingly, four cars managed to finish on the same lap as the leader. Jarvis crossed the finish line 18 seconds ahead of the #34 entry from Inter Europol, driven by Clement Novalak, Vladislav Lomko, and Jakub Smiechowski, who were last year’s winners. The #28 entry from Idec Sport, driven by Reshad de Gerus and Job van Uitert, secured third place, narrowly missing out on the pole position. The #183 entry, which had led for a significant part of the race, dropped to fourth place due to a late Safety Car period. The trio of Barnicoat, Nicolas Varrone, and Francois Perrodo was the top pro/am team in the LMP2 category. The #10 car from Vector Sport, driven by Patrick Pilet, Ryan Cullen, and Stephane Richelmi, showed initial promise but ultimately finished in fifth place. The #14 machine from AO by TF, known as ‘Spike the Dragon,’ finished second among the pro/am teams and sixth overall. The #33 machine from DKR Engineering had a challenging race, facing multiple spins and incidents, but managed to secure seventh place. Eighth place went to the #25 car from Algarve Pro Racing, driven by Olli Caldwell, Roman Senna di Angelis, and Matthias Kaiser. The #37 entry from Cool Racing, piloted by Malthe Jakobsen, Ritomo Miyata, and Lorenzo Fluxa, had a strong performance but encountered difficulties in the final hours, finishing in 12th place. The #23 car from United Autosports, competing in the pro/am category, had a tumultuous race, with Bronze driver Ben Keating facing a series of setbacks, including a spin in the gravel and a broken alternator. The team finished in 13th place, the last among the LMP2 cars that completed the full 24 hours.
