Hyundai has revealed that it will present the prototype of a small 100% electric model at the next edition of the Munich Motor Show, which will take place in the German city in September.
The production version is expected to be built at Hyundai’s factory in Turkey starting in 2026, and the new model will be positioned between the city car Inster and the Kauai. Although the body style has not been confirmed, it is expected that the vehicle will be an SUV positioned alongside the compact Bayon, produced in Turkey.
This new model will be the first from Hyundai to debut the Pleos Connect infotainment system from the South Korean brand, which is based on the Android Automotive operating system.
The Pleos system is part of Hyundai’s broader strategy for connected vehicles. It includes updated chips and access to third-party applications through the open development platform Pleos Playground.
