Sony and Polyphony Digital announced the arrival of a new free update for Gran Turismo 7, the PlayStation’s exclusive racing game, which brings new Japanese cars to add to the garage, events to continue competing in the World Circuits mode, and updated tracks to compete against GT Sophy, the next-generation racing Artificial Intelligence agent, exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version.
The new models added to Gran Turismo 7 are the Honda N-ONE RS, a kei car with turbo, front-wheel drive, and six speeds, presented as a modern version of the N360. This second generation, launched in 2020, features a renewed body while maintaining a very similar appearance to the previous version, with subtle changes to the front grille and bumper. The sporty model includes the RS designation and adds a turbo engine and 6-speed transmission.
In addition to the Honda, the Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune emerges, a tuning star created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its foundation. A total of 19 units were manufactured, including the prototype, making it a true gem highly sought after by collectors.
The last of the three models now added to the virtual races of Gran Turismo 7 is the Nissan Qashqai Tekna 190: the third generation of the king of SUVs. Launched for the first time in 2006, it has already had two generations, with this third one arriving for the first time in the Gran Turismo garage.
This model features a renewed design, with a larger body and more defined lines. In terms of powertrains, the new Qashqai comes with gasoline engines and Nissan’s exclusive hybrid system “e-Power,” which uses the engine to power an electric generator with excellent thermal efficiency. The Tekna version offers a complete set of features, larger wheels, ambient lighting, and a large front display screen.
The new update for Gran Turismo 7 is available to all users starting this Thursday, July 24.
