Valtteri Bottas and Daniel Ricciardo are successful Formula 1 drivers. They have been competing at the highest level of motorsport for a considerable amount of time. Despite their past victories, their careers have recently declined.

While their on-track performances have not been satisfactory, they have managed to stay in the spotlight due to their off-track activities. Bottas has been sporting a mullet and a mustache throughout the season, while Ricciardo has been involved in various off-track pranks.

These behaviors have not been well-received by a former team owner. He recently made a harsh comment about both drivers and their off-track actions.

Bottas left Mercedes at the end of the 2021 F1 season and has since struggled to perform well. He has been competing in the midfield and has been slipping further down the rankings. The poor performance of the Sauber car is one of the reasons why he has not scored any points this year. On the other hand, Ricciardo has been outperformed by his younger teammate.

While Verschuur criticized Bottas for his on-track performances, it is worth noting that he is one of the many drivers who do not have a contract for the next year. Bottas has been linked to several teams, and former F1 driver Villeneuve suggested an interesting possibility.

Villeneuve believes that Bottas could return to Mercedes, possibly for the 2025 season. The reaction of the 1997 world champion indicates that Bottas may once again be seen wearing the iconic black Mercedes uniform. If this is confirmed, he would reunite with the team he had to leave at the end of 2021.
