Primeiro contacto Astra Sports Tourer Eletric: a inédita carrinha 100% elétrica da Opel

Opel has just completed the Astra range with the arrival of the Sports Tourer Electric to the national market, the 100% electric station wagon with a range of up to 413 km.

The German brand presented the new Astra to journalists in the Greater Lisbon region, after celebrating the debut of the first fully electric station wagon at the Munich Motor Show in September 2023.

Like the sedan Astra, the Sports Tourer is equipped with an electric motor that delivers 156 hp of power and 270 Nm of maximum torque, allowing for a top speed of 170 km/h.

The electric motor is powered by a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery, with a usable capacity of 50.8 kWh, which guarantees an average homologated range in the WLTP combined cycle of 416 km. Composed of 102 cells housed in 17 modules, it can be charged using the standard 11 kW three-phase onboard charger, which is capable of recovering up to 80% of the capacity in about 30 minutes at 100 kW fast charging stations.

With a length of 4.64 meters, a width of 1.86 meters, a height of 1.48 meters, and a loading height of about 60 cm, the new Astra Sports Tourer Electric is a family vehicle that offers 516 liters of luggage space, which can be expanded to 1553 liters with the rear seats folded down, slightly smaller than the combustion version’s trunk, which offers a capacity of 597 liters, expandable to 1634 liters with the seats folded down.

Both on the exterior and interior, there aren’t many differences compared to the other models in the range, however, the electric station wagon features a 10” instrument panel and a 10” touchscreen infotainment system with specific information and graphics for the 100% electric versions.

The Astra Sports Tourer Electric is available in two trim levels, the entry-level Edition version and the top-of-the-range GS, however, Opel has announced that the new 100% electric station wagon comes equipped with numerous electronic aids and features focused on the highest level of comfort. These include air conditioning, fully LED lighting, and the fully digital Pure Panel cockpit.

The top-of-the-range version features active ergonomic sports seats certified by AGR, front collision warning system, traffic sign and speed assistant with stop function, 360-degree Intelli-Vision camera, black exterior mirror caps, 18” alloy wheels, as well as a black karbon roof.

These two versions also offer optional packs. From the Technology Pack with Intelli-Lux LED Pixel Light, wireless charging, and roof bars; to the Comfort Pack with heated seats and steering wheel or electric glass sunroof, heated ThermaTec windshield, Intelli-Air system, and sensor-controlled trunk door.

In the brief contact we had with the Opel Astra Electric, it was easy to understand that the model has a very interesting dynamic with a good driving position that allows for a driving style and performance that can be managed through three driving modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport).

Opel has announced that the first 100% electric station wagon from the German brand is now available in the national market at a promotional price of €38,620. In the leasing option, the station wagon is offered with a monthly payment of €405.
