Fang Cheng Bao has just announced that the new Ti7, a five-seater SUV from the Chinese BYD sub-brand, has already come off the production line in China, even before its market launch, which will take place in the last quarter of the year.
The model debuts a new plug-in hybrid system, equipped with a 1.5-liter combustion engine with 154 hp, combined with two electric motors, the front one with 215 hp and the rear axle with 268 hp. In addition, the Bao Ti7 also features a version equipped with only one electric motor of 268 hp.
The entry-level version is equipped with a 26.6 kWh LFP battery from FinDreams, a subsidiary of BYD, which offers an electric range of 100 to 105 km and announces a consumption of 6.3 l/100 km. The top-of-the-line variant has a 35.6 kWh LFP battery, announcing a 100% electric range of 130 km, and slightly higher fuel consumption of 6.4 l/100 km.
The new large SUV measures 4.99 meters in length, 1.99 meters in width, 1.86 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.92 meters. It should be noted that Fang Cheng Bao is the premium off-road vehicle brand launched by BYD in 2023, which will arrive in Europe under the name Denza.
The brand’s line of models already includes three SUVs: Bao 5, Baso 8, and Ti3, to which the Ti7 is now added. The company revealed the first images of the production of the new SUV through social media, accompanying the images with the inscription “smart factories are operating at full capacity”. In this way, BYD responded to news about the slowdown in production in China due to the increase in “stocks”.
