Louis Deletraz secured the first position in the #40 WTR Andretti Acura ARX-06 for the IMSA Sports Car Championship 6 Hours of Glen. He set a time of 1:32.209, which was 0.038 seconds faster than Renger van der Zande in the #01 Cadillac V-Series.R.

During the session, Deletraz took the lead halfway through and no one else was able to surpass his time in the remaining minutes.

Van der Zande briefly held the fastest time, but Deletraz ended up surpassing it. However, neither of them were able to improve their lap times after setting their fastest laps.

Jack Aitken secured the third fastest time in the #31 Action Express Cadillac V-Series.R, finishing 0.270 seconds behind Deletraz. Phil Hanson was the fourth fastest in the #95 JDC Miller Porsche 963, which was the fastest Porsche, only 0.046 seconds behind Aitken.

The fastest factory Porsche, driven by Mathieu Jaminet in the #6 Porsche 963, finished in fifth place. Jaminet’s lap time was only 0.054 seconds slower than Hanson’s, highlighting the impressive performance of the Porsche customer team.

In the LMP2 category, P.J. Hyett set an exceptional time of 1:35.925 in the #99 AO Racing Oreca 07-Gibson, going almost seven tenths of a second faster than Daniel Goldburg of United Autosports, who finished in second place.

Hyett dominated the session in the purple ‘Spike the dragon’ car, continuously improving his lap times. His last lap, after the 15-minute session, was almost two seconds faster than his initial lap. On his final lap, he was almost four tenths of a second faster than his previous best time, solidifying his pole position.

Goldburg has consistently been near the top throughout the session, but was unable to surpass Hyett. At one point, he dropped to third place after Steven Thomas, in the #11 TDS Racing Oreca 07-Gibson, took over second position. However, Goldburg quickly regained second place, finishing just 0.002 seconds ahead of Thomas.

Nick Boulle finished in fourth place in the #52 Inter Europol PR1 Mathiasen Oreca 07-Gibson, 0.372 seconds behind Thomas and over a second behind Hyett. Ben Keating secured the fifth fastest time in the #2 United Autosports, trailing Boulle by another two tenths of a second.
