Christian Horner afirma que a Red Bull estava ciente da iminente saída de Adrian Newey.

Adrian Newey, the most successful designer in Formula 1 history, has been the subject of rumors about his departure from Red Bull. The announcement of his departure caused a major impact in the paddock, indicating a significant rift between Newey and the team. It has now been revealed that this breakdown in their relationship was anticipated by Newey himself.

Newey has been part of Red Bull since 2006, and their partnership has been characterized by a high level of mutual dependence. However, the team has faced several controversies that have harmed their environment, leading to the eventual separation. Experts in the sport have criticized the team for not addressing internal power struggles earlier, as this could have prevented Newey’s departure. However, team principal Christian Horner has a different perspective.

Horner claims he was aware of Newey’s intentions to leave the team. He explains that as early as 2014, during the beginning of the turbo-hybrid era, Newey had considered leaving. Therefore, his departure had been expected for a long time.

Many Formula 1 experts believe that Red Bull’s aerodynamic advantage will diminish without Newey’s expertise. The situation seems to be spiraling downward for the Milton Keynes-based team, and there are concerns that their star driver and consultant may also consider leaving. However, Horner remains confident that the team can overcome this challenge without the design legend.

The team principal states that he is not worried about the lack of integrity within the team. He claims to have established a reliable aerodynamic and chassis structure that will continue to operate smoothly without Newey. This assurance is crucial as the team faces pressure to maintain their position at the top of the standings and earn the trust of the hierarchy in Austria.

In conclusion, Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull has created a delicate situation for the team. Now, the responsibility falls on Christian Horner to ensure that the team remains competitive and establishes itself as a reliable leader within the organization.
