The latest round of tests from Green NCAP, the leading independent environmental impact testing program in Europe, evaluated the BYD Seal U, the 100% electric variant, which offers a range of up to 500 km.
The third model from the Chinese manufacturer tested by Green NCAP, which is available in the national market, achieved a total of 10 points, the maximum possible, in the clean air index, 8.9 in the energy efficiency index, and 9.1 in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition, the tested version, with front-wheel drive, is equipped with a single motor producing 214 hp and an 86 kWh battery capacity, with an announced range of up to 500 km, and showed low energy consumption in real tests of 21 kWh/100 km.
Overall, the BYD Seal U achieved an average score of 93% in the Green NCAP tests, thus receiving five stars from the conducted evaluations.
