BYD já vendeu um milhão de unidades do Dolphin Surf

A BYD, a leading global manufacturer of new energy vehicles, announced that the Dolphin Surf, known in China as Seagull, has already sold over one million units since its launch in 2023.

The Dolphin Surf has redefined what consumers can expect from a 100% electric urban vehicle, offering innovative technologies, efficient design, and without compromising on features or safety. The millionth unit rolled off the assembly line at the Xi’an factory (China), where the model is produced, just 27 months after production began, making it the best-selling vehicle in its segment in history.

“The Dolphin Surf has set standards and records since its launch, leading monthly sales in its category more than 20 times in just over two years. At the recent European launch of the model, we said it is a global star that breaks barriers for the adoption of sustainable mobility, and we are very pleased to already have a million units on the roads worldwide,” said Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD.

It is worth noting that the BYD Dolphin Surf is available in Portugal with three versions. The entry-level variant, Active, features the 30kWh Blade Battery that powers an electric motor with 88 hp, and a range of up to 220 km, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.1 seconds.

The Boost and Comfort versions, the most powerful, are equipped with a 43.2kWh battery that allows the electric motor to provide two power levels, 88 hp and 155 hp, announcing a range of up to 322 km in the combined WLTP cycle. In the city, it reaches a range of 507 km. The most powerful version of the Dolphin Surf also announces an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds.

In terms of charging, the new Dolphin Surf allows for DC charging of 65kW for the Active version and 85kW for the Boost and Comfort variants, so regardless of the battery capacity, it can go from 10% to 80% of battery capacity in 30 minutes.

The three-phase 11kW AC charging is standard across the range, allowing for 100% charging in three and a half hours for the Active version or five hours for the Boost and Comfort versions.
