Renovado BMW X3 traz híbrido mais potente

BMW has announced the integration of Ubigi’s global personal eSIM solution in its vehicles, now providing drivers with even more comprehensive premium connectivity.

This new partnership allows the German brand to offer an extensive range of connectivity services, significantly enhancing the driving experience for drivers.

“The integration of Ubigi’s personal eSIM solution allows BMW customers to activate a personal data profile closely linked to the vehicle, without the need for a physical SIM. This new system provides seamless and global connectivity, facilitating access to a variety of services such as navigation, entertainment, and communication, regardless of location,” BMW adds in a statement.

Starting this month of July, BMW customers in Portugal can activate the personal eSIM with Ubigi’s 5G data plans from Transatel to enjoy extensive Infotainment and WiFi connectivity features, regardless of their smartphone’s network operator.

The service will be available for BMW vehicles with BMW Operating System 8, 8.5, and 9 (available in 11/2024) and with the factory-installed personal eSIM option (6PA).

Depending on the vehicle model, the eSIM allows access to the following features: WiFi-Hotspot, first-row video streaming services, and, for BMW 7 Series vehicles equipped with the BMW Theatre Screen, a wide range of Amazon Fire TV entertainment.

To activate this feature in eligible BMW vehicles, owners can set up their personal eSIM through the My BMW application and subscribe to Ubigi’s European data plans. The cost of the service is €10 per month for unlimited data.
