Axel Bassani has joined forces with Alex Lowes to continue his partnership with the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) as they embark on the 2025 WorldSBK campaign alongside Bimota. Bassani, who signed with KRT in 2024 after a successful stint with the Motocorsa Racing Ducati team, has been adapting to the ZX-10RR this season but has only managed a ninth-place finish as his best result so far. However, the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team project has shown confidence in Bassani, and he has reciprocated by agreeing to the team’s terms. Bassani expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating that it feels like a natural progression in his career. Guim Roda, KRT team manager, praised Bassani’s performance and potential, emphasizing the commitment to provide him with the necessary support to further develop his skills. The team is excited about the continuity and expects great things from Bassani in 2025. The addition of Bassani to the team, along with Lowes’ involvement in the new project, is seen as a significant step forward by Steve Guttridge, Kawasaki Motors Europe’s racing planning manager. Shigemi Tanaka, General Manager of the Marketing and Sales Division at Kawasaki Motors, Ltd., also praised Bassani’s contribution, stating that his signing marks an important milestone in the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team project.
