Andretti Formula E has become the first team to reveal its driver lineup for Formula E’s inaugural all-female test, selecting Chloe Chambers and Nerea Martí for the half-day session at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo next month. The move underscores Andretti’s ongoing commitment to promoting female talent in motorsport.
Chloe Chambers, a rising star in motorsport, has been making headlines following her recent inclusion in Red Bull’s driver development program. She is set to compete in the F1 Academy with Red Bull’s backing next year. The 20-year-old from Indiana has already made waves in the all-female series with Haas, securing a race win and three podiums in 10 races this season. Her impressive résumé includes dominating the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, where she clinched eight wins in 12 races, and becoming the first woman to win and secure pole position in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship.
Expressing her excitement about joining Andretti for the test, Chambers stated, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Andretti Formula E team in Valencia. It will be different for me, being my first experience in electric racing, but I’m excited to take on this new challenge and expand my horizons. The Andretti Formula E team has had great success in Formula E, and I’m glad to be learning from some of the best! As an American, it’s especially exciting to be working with such an iconic name in racing.”
Nerea Martí, another accomplished F1 Academy competitor, joins Chambers for the test. Martí, who secured a victory at Paul Ricard last season and has accumulated eight additional podiums over the past two years, was the highest-ranking rookie in the penultimate W Series season in 2021. The Spanish driver is enthusiastic about the opportunity to drive a Formula E car, especially on her home track.
“Getting behind the wheel of a Formula E car is an incredible opportunity,” Martí said. “Formula E represents the future of racing, and I’m going to soak up every moment and learn as much as I can from the experience. The series is all about innovation and pushing boundaries, and as a female driver, it’s what I’ve been striving for throughout my career, so I’m thrilled to be part of it. It’s very special that the test is taking place in Valencia, my hometown. Circuit Ricardo Tormo is where I got my first taste of racing, so I have some very special memories there. I’m focused on making the most of every lap and showing the Andretti Formula E team what I can do.”
Andretti has a storied history of supporting female drivers, having previously worked with notable names like Danica Patrick, Jamie Chadwick, Catie Munnings, Ana Beatriz, Beitske Visser, Ashton Harrison, and Simona de Silvestro, who raced a full Formula E season for Andretti in Season 2.

Both Chloe and Nerea have shown their pedigree in F1 Academy with regular visits to the podium, and we are eager to see how they get on in the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric Formula E car.”
