Alpine Driver Franco Colapinto Involved in Terrifying Crash: Latest Medical Update Revealed!

In a heart-stopping turn of events, Franco Colapinto, the Alpine driver, found himself in a harrowing crash during a Pirelli tyre test at the Hungaroring. The Enstone-based team confirmed the shocking incident that occurred at the high-speed Turn 11 right-hand corner, sending shockwaves through the motorsport community.

Despite the intensity of the crash, Alpine quickly reassured fans by announcing that Colapinto was taken to the circuit medical center for evaluation and, thankfully, emerged unharmed. The team’s statement provided a sigh of relief, stating, “Franco was assessed on site at the medical center and is OK.”

Replacing Jack Doohan from the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Colapinto has faced challenges on the track, consistently lagging at the bottom of the timesheets. In contrast, Pierre Gasly has been the standout performer for Alpine this season, single-handedly securing all 20 points for the team, albeit leaving them languishing at the bottom of the constructors’ standings.

However, a glimmer of hope shone through for Colapinto as he outperformed Gasly in the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying, finishing ahead of him in the race in the 18th position.

The nail-biting crash and subsequent medical update on Franco Colapinto have undoubtedly added a new layer of drama to the Alpine team’s season. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as the motorsport world holds its breath in anticipation of Colapinto’s next move on the track.
