Helmut Marko preocupa-se com a situação de Christian Horner que poderia levar a Red Bull a perder um parceiro de motor de $125 bilhões.

Partnering with Red Bull for their 2026 Power Unit, Ford has publicly expressed their dissatisfaction with the allegations of inappropriate behavior made against Christian Horner.

The investigation into Horner’s inappropriate behavior was concluded shortly before the Bahrain GP. The 50-year-old man was cleared of the accusations. However, controversy arose when alleged evidence was leaked, leading to increased tensions within the team. Jos Verstappen, father of Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, publicly criticized Horner as a result. Now, reports of additional concerns within the team have emerged.

A Red Bull Motorsport Consultant allegedly fears that the entire situation involving Horner could result in Milton Keynes losing Ford as a partner for 2026. The automaker, valued at $125 billion, has joined Red Bull Powertrains for the new F1 power unit regulations starting in 2026. However, the recent controversies involving Horner may cause Ford to reconsider this partnership.

Ford has made it clear that they expect Red Bull to maintain high standards of behavior and integrity. This statement was released when Horner was under investigation. However, Ford publicly expressed their frustration when Red Bull GmbH refused to disclose any details about the case. Therefore, Helmut Marko’s concerns may be justified for now.

Jos Verstappen, father of Max Verstappen, did not hold back in criticizing Horner regarding the current situation. However, the former F1 driver made it clear that he was not involved in the alleged leaking of evidence related to Horner’s case. Nonetheless, reports suggest that Jos Verstappen may influence his son’s decision to leave Red Bull if Horner remains in Milton Keynes.

In addition, the relationship between F1 aero genius and Horner, Adrian Newey, is said to have deteriorated due to the accusations. There are even suggestions that Newey may consider leaving Red Bull if the 50-year-old man continues as team principal.

Undoubtedly, the recent accusations against Horner have put Red Bull in a difficult position. There have been reports that Helmut Marko is aligning with Dietrich Mateschitz’s son to potentially remove Horner from his position. However, no action has been taken against the 50-year-old man so far. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming days.
