Ferrari F512 roubada de ex-estrela das corridas é recuperada 28 anos depois

The former Ferrari Formula 1 driver, Gerhard Berger, had his stolen Ferrari F512M, which disappeared 28 years ago, finally recovered. Berger, like many Formula 1 drivers, has a passion for cars, especially high-performance ones. As a result, he has built an impressive collection over the years. Unfortunately, one of his most precious possessions, the Ferrari F512M, was stolen during the 1995 San Marino Grand Prix in Imola. Despite filing a police report, the car remained missing for almost three decades. However, recent reports indicate that the London Organized Vehicle Crime Unit received a tip about the car being imported to the United States.

Acting swiftly on this information, the organization launched an investigation and managed to locate the stolen Ferrari. PC, a member of the investigation team, revealed that the investigation was a meticulous process that involved collaboration with various independent companies. After four days of intense work, the rare masterpiece was finally recovered.

Gerhard Berger, known for his love of cars both on and off the Formula 1 circuit, is the proud owner of several rare vehicles. A notable example is the Lamborghini Countach, which he kept for ten years before selling it. Berger’s ownership has significantly increased the car’s value, which is now set to be auctioned. Other current Formula 1 drivers, such as , also have impressive collections of cars, including a multimillion-dollar variety.

In addition to the Lamborghini, Berger also owned a rare 1990 Ferrari F40. This incredibly fast car, equipped with a 2.9-liter turbo V8 engine, was a true gem of its time. After enjoying the F40 for a considerable period, Berger decided to put it up for auction. The estimated value of this iconic vehicle ranges from $2 million to as much as $3.5 million.

Finally, after years of uncertainty, Gerhard Berger can breathe a sigh of relief. His beloved Ferrari F512M has been recovered by authorities. This rare car holds great sentimental value for the former F1 driver, and its recovery marks a significant moment for him. While eagerly awaiting the 2024 season, Berger can now enjoy the good news of his long-lost car being found.
