Empresa portuguesa lança solução de carregamento tão rápido como abastecer a gasolina

For the Portuguese company Hellonext, speeding up the charging speed of electric vehicles, to approximate times to refueling a gasoline or diesel car, is essential to also accelerate the pace of electrification and facilitate the acceptance of the technology.

In this context, they developed a compact ultra-fast charger, with a capacity of up to 480 kW, one of the most powerful in the world.  The H2 480 was unveiled by this Petrotec Group company at the EV Salon in London, UK, announcing the ability to recover from 0-80% of a battery charge in about ten minutes, provided the vehicle supports that charging power. Currently, only the Rimac Nevera can supposedly be charged with up to 500 kW; the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Kia EV9 have an 800 V electrical system, allowing charging up to 350 kW; the same applies to the Porsche Taycan.

The supercharger provides charging powers between 240 kW and 480 kW, through internal 40 kW modules, and allows the charging of up to four vehicles simultaneously, with dynamic power control at each connector.  Technically, the Portuguese company also highlights that the user interaction is intuitive, ensured by four screens – a 21.5″ touch screen and a 7″ controller, each placed on one of the two faces of the equipment. The 300 A cables have air cooling (or liquid cooling, optionally, for 500 A cables).

Software updates and equipment status control can be done remotely, via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G, as well as the management of multimedia content for advertising. The safety standards of the H2 480 are the strictest in the industry, receiving IK 10 (impact resistance grade) and IP 55 (protection level against the entry of debris and moisture) certifications.
