Mercado de veículos eletrificados de passageiros cresce 104% até novembro

The Regulatory Entity for Energy Services (ERSE) has approved a reduction in tariffs for 2024 of 4.2% for electricity suppliers for electric mobility (CEME) and for charging point operators (OPC) for electric vehicles.

In a statement, ERSE revealed that in the final decision, it maintained the proposal that had been released in October. “The current regime establishes a series of relationships between the various entities involved”, it recalled, indicating that “electric vehicle users (UVE) establish contracts with electricity suppliers for electric mobility (CEME) for the charging service, carried out at charging points operated by charging point operators (OPC)”.

In addition, the legal regime “provides for the possibility of integrating privately accessible charging points into the Mobi.E network, for exclusive or shared use, at the request of the owners of the charging point installation location (charging point owners, DPC)”.

Therefore, “for the year 2024, ERSE approves a 4.2% reduction in tariffs applicable to CEME and OPC, and a 3.2% reduction in tariffs applicable to DPC, compared to the tariffs applied in 2023”.

The regulatory entity pointed out that in 2022, “the electric mobility network allowed for more than 2.20 million charging sessions, at a total of 6,716 charging points”, and predicted that “in 2024, the electric mobility network will reach approximately 4.98 million charging sessions, representing a 33% increase compared to the estimated 3.69 million charging sessions for the year 2023”.
