Mazda CX-80: o novo SUV topo de gama de sete lugares

Mazda has announced the opening of orders for the new CX-80, which is the largest SUV of the brand in Europe marking the return of Hiroshima’s company to the seven-seater vehicle market.

Based on the Large Architecture platform, the CX-80 measures 4.99 meters in length, 1.89 meters in width, 1.71 meters in height, and a wheelbase of over three meters.

Equipped with a third row of foldable seats, the CX-80 can have three different configurations for the second row, including an option of two independent Captain Seats, with passage space to the third row, or combined with an also optional central console.

With all seven seats in place, the trunk space is 258 liters, which can increase to 687 liters with the third row of seats folded down and to 1221 liters with both rows folded. In mechanical terms, the new flagship model from Mazda comes with two powertrain options, the e-Skyactiv PHEV, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, powered by a 17.8 kWh battery, providing a combined power of 327 hp and 500 Nm of torque, with an electric-only range of 60 km. These numbers allow for an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 195 km/h.

In addition, there is a variant equipped with the e-Skyactiv D engine, a 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine integrating Mazda’s 48V mild-hybrid M Hybrid Boost system, which produces 254 hp, providing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 219 km/h.

In Portugal, the range of the new Mazda CX-80 is available in 5 equipment levels: Exclusive-Line, Homura, Takumi, Homura Plus, and Takumi Plus – with prices ranging from €63,004 for the entry-level version to €91,411 for the top-of-the-range variant, and the first units will hit the market in early autumn.
