Vettel pilotará MP4/8 de Senna em Emilia Romagna.

The last race of McLaren Senna for McLaren was in the MP4/8, before he moved to Williams. In the 1993 season, Senna finished second in the F1 Drivers’ Championship, just behind Alain Prost. Throughout the year, he achieved victory in five races.

Tragically, in 1994, Senna joined Williams but lost his life during his third race with the team. The fatal accident occurred on the seventh lap of the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola.

This year, Sebastian Vettel will be present at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola. In honor of Senna, he will be driving the MP4/8.

Vettel shared his participation in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix on social media, stating: “See you in Imola on Sunday, May 19, #FOREVERSENNA”.

In a video message, Vettel expressed his admiration for Ayrton Senna, highlighting his exceptional racing skills and compassionate nature. He acknowledged the 30th anniversary of Senna’s accident and expressed his desire to pay tribute to the legendary driver. Vettel confirmed his presence at the Imola Grand Prix, where he will drive Senna’s McLaren MP4/8. He extended an invitation to fans, hoping to see them on May 19.

Vettel ended his F1 career in 2022, racing for Aston Martin. During his time in the sport, he won four F1 titles with Red Bull Racing from 2010 to 2013. There have been rumors linking Vettel to a possible return to the sport, possibly replacing Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. However, there have been no significant developments regarding this speculation.
