William Byron continues his domination in the Next-Generation era with the victory at Martinsville. In 1984, when HMS was known as All Star Racing, the Martinsville race that year was a crucial moment for the team. The tragic plane crash that took the lives of Rick Hendrick’s family in Virginia adds even more meaning to each HMS race. They arrived at the weekend with all four of their drivers wearing ruby red jumpsuits and paint schemes. Kyle Larson’s car featured the engraved name of Rick’s wife, Lisa, as part of their tribute.
