Daniel Ricciardo, the winner of eight Grand Prix races, had a challenging season in 2024. Despite being overshadowed by his teammate VCARB, it was revealed that his position is secured for 2025.
There has been internal turbulence within the team since the allegations of inappropriate behavior against Red Bull’s team principal, [Nome]. As a result, the team consultant, [Nome], has lost power, with most of it now in Horner’s hands.
Interestingly, Daniel Ricciardo seems to be benefiting from all of this. Red Bull’s junior driver, [Nome], had been considered for a spot in the RB team in 2025, but with Horner’s reluctance to let Ricciardo go, [Nome] may have to wait another year.
Before the start of the 2024 F1 season, Ricciardo had high hopes of using his time at RB as a stepping stone to Red Bull. However, after just eight races, he finds himself far behind his younger teammate.
After the Monaco Grand Prix, Ricciardo openly expressed his frustration with his performances. In the Constructors’ Championship, Red Bull has accumulated 24 points so far. Yuki Tsunoda contributed 19 of those points, while Ricciardo managed to gather only five. If he wants to secure his place on the grid for 2025, Ricciardo must improve his form starting from the Canadian Grand Prix. However, if his poor performance continues, not even Horner’s support may be enough to save him, considering the intense pressure of F1.
