Carlos Sainz will leave Ferrari at the end of this year’s Formula 1 season, following the arrival of Lewis Hamilton. Therefore, he will start the season already knowing that his future does not involve Maranello.
The Spanish driver issued a statement on social media, ensuring that despite the known separation, he will not cease to give his maximum effort:
“After today’s news, the Scuderia Ferrari and I will go our separate ways at the end of 2024. We still have a long season ahead of us and, as always, I will give my absolute best for the team and the tifosi around the world.”
Currently, Sainz is speculated as an option for Audi’s F1 project, but the #55 driver will reveal news about his future at a later time: “News about my future will be announced at the appropriate moment.”
