Reiza Studios, the creator of the popular racing simulation game Automobilista 2, announced a collaboration with IMSA, the motorsport organization responsible for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.
Automobilista 2, also known as AMS2, offers a wide range of content from various sectors of the automotive industry. The game developers recently introduced Le Mans and a collection of new prototype vehicles from IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship, taking the game’s offerings in this area to new heights.
In their most recent development update, Reiza expressed their excitement in becoming an official partner of the International Motorsports Association. This association oversees several long-standing racing series in the United States, with the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship being the most prominent. This championship features iconic endurance events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona, the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, and the 12 Hours of Sebring – the latter coinciding with the timing of this announcement.
Through this partnership, Reiza’s goal is to secure the necessary agreements to include teams, cars, and locations from the 2024 season in AMS2. The process is already underway with direct support from IMSA.
As a result, AMS2 may feature cars and tracks from the Sportscar Championship, as well as the Michelin Pilot Challenge and the VR Racing Sportscar Challenge, other IMSA competitions.
