Ford is back at Pikes Peak in the USA to take on the winding mountain roads, where it will line up with the radical F-150 Lightning SuperTruck, developed by the Ford Performance team and aiming to contribute to the development of the brand’s electric powertrains.

With enhanced aerodynamics that allow for an impressive downforce of about three tons, the radical pick-up features a huge goose-neck shaped spoiler hanging at the rear and projecting above the roof. Additionally, the rear section also highlights the massive diffuser. In the front, the generous splitter stands out.

Malgré le fait de ne pas avoir révélé les données techniques de cette version 100% électrique qui participera à la célèbre « course vers les nuages » le 23 juin prochain, le pick-up radical F-150 Lightning SuperTruck présente quelques similitudes avec la Ford SuperVan 4.0 avec laquelle la marque a affronté les 20 kilomètres de route montagneuse, équipée de quatre moteurs produisant au total une impressionnante puissance de 1972 ch, établissant un record dans sa catégorie en 2023.
